Hooked on Heroine..the Lipstick that is

I know I've mentioned that I have a slight obsession with lipsticks and especially the sought after Heroine from MAC.This lipstick was initially a limited edition, however to due to excessive pleading  from  the MAC lipstick lovers around the world it was released as apart of their  permanent offering. When I discovered it was currently being offered I had to add it to my small collection as although I love Covergirl Divine lipstick  ( heroine's closest dupe) there is just nothing like the real thing...

MAC's Heroine is a matte, vibrant shade of purple that wears comfortably on the lips and doesn't dehydrate your lips unlike some of its matte counterparts, the only downside of this lipstick is that its stains your lips and requires some amount of effort to remove, nevertheless I don't regret purchasing this lip product.

Do you own Heroine if not do you plan on adding it to your collection?

"Browtasticly Good"- L.A. Girl Gel Liner in Dark Brown

After discovering and loving the LA HD Pro Concealer at the end of 2012 I was very much  interested in trying  more  products from the brand , so  I purchased some  items which I have been using for a while  and I am now ready to share  my experience. The first item up for  review is the LA Girl Gel Liner in Dark Brown...

The package includes  a small glass pot with 3 grams of product as well as a "ultra fine" liner brush to create a defined eye.

I decided to purchase this gel liner as I was in the market for a gel-based product for filling in my brows however I couldn't bring myself to paying the price for  products such as MAC's Fluidline in Dipdown or the coveted Anastasia DipBrow Pomade so I went for a more affordable alternative and as you would have it I have fallen in love
The packaging indicates the shade is dark brown  but its not excessively dark which is good in my opinion as it doesn't make my brows look too intense to the point of being harsh, it also keeps my brows in place but doesn't make them hard. In terms of  texture it has a creamy consistency and is very easy to manipulate, however this liner like most gel-based products dries fast therefore you have to work quickly  in order to achieve optimum results.. The packaging of this product describes it as eye liner that won't budge and is transfer resistant once it has dried and although this is not 100% true it does last a very, very long time with minimal transfer and/or fading .

This  gel liner is definitely now a staple for me and I haven't been using a pencil to fill in my brows since purchasing.I will continue to use it until I decide to take the plunge and try the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade.I definitely recommend anyone who  is on a budget and is obsessed with sculpted/defined brows to give it a try, once again LA Girl has not disappointed me and I cannot wait to see the new products that they will have for the upcoming spring/summer season.

Do you prefer a pencil or  gel  based product for filling in your brows?
